AnaMaria Espinosa, originally from Ecuador, began her equestrian education at a very young age. She first competed in Show Jumping and won major championships as a Junior Rider in Ecuador. As the only woman among military men, she competed and placed second in the National Three Day Event.
She soon realized the importance of learning Classical Dressage. She understood that with horses, in order to achieve a partnership on the ground and under saddle, one must first achieve HARMONY. Also, UNDERSTANDING must exist between horse and rider. As such, she has developed valuable insight and knowledge in the basics of Classical Dressage and Natural Horsemanship.

AnaMaria’s training and teaching are grounded in her philosophy that in order to achieve a partnership, one must first understand the horse’s nature, respect them and respond to their needs. Only then one can strive to develop and achieve true Harmony between horse and rider. Ultimately, she works to instill this intuitive feeling in her students.
AnaMaria was an apprentice trainer at Los Alamos Dressage Center with the late Mayor Hector Carmona and Gail Hoff-Carmona. She trained and spent some time studying with the late Melissa Simms, Instructor at the Egon Von Neindorf Institute in Karlsruhe, Germany. Melissa inspired her to learn Classical Dressage, giving her experience, feeling, and understanding. AnaMaria also trained with Nancy Polozker, Robert Dover and Betsy Steiner.
AnaMaria continues her education in Natural Horsemanship, as it has helped her understand and better the lives of many challenging horses.
