Hugo Huesca, originally from Mexico, started riding at a very early age, discovering his passion for horses. Before age 10, he had already competed in Show Jumping. As a Junior Rider, he successfully participated in National Championships. In 1989 after obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in Analyst and Designer of Systems, he came to the United States to continue his riding career.

Hugo’s main principle in being a horseman is having integrity. Through a lot of riding, observation and training himself,  Hugo has developed his feeling and understanding towards training horses. He believes that with understanding the personality and conformation of the horses, with RESPECT, PATIENCE and PERSISTENCE you can always develop and improve the horse’s ability and desire to perform. This consistency and discipline helps the horses have trust and confidence in themselves, creating willingness and heart to work.

Hugo feels that it is important to learn from every rider, students and professionals alike. He has trained with Anne Kursinski for many years, who he thinks is an exceptional Horsewoman with great professionalism.

Hugo has trained and competed his horses successfully in Hunters and Jumpers all the way through Grand Prix. He has developed riders from their first lesson to National level. He instills in his students discipline, work ethic, and respect for their horses and the sport in general.
